The Corridor

The closed, hosted exchange where obligated European buyers meet verified African supply. Meetings are pre-arranged with documentation ready, and deals are signed in the room rather than left to chance on a trade-show floor. Not sold as a ticket. Every place is admitted by assessment or extended by invitation.

Admission is earned, not purchased

Catalyst brings together verified African suppliers, exporters, artisans and cooperatives with the European buyers, investors and institutions who need what Africa produces. Within Catalyst, The Corridor is where that connection becomes concrete.

Obligated European buyers are matched directly with verified African supply. Every meeting is pre-arranged, forty minutes long, with the batch documentation checked and countersigned at the Documentation Desk before the buyer sits down. Signing Rooms are available for negotiations that need a door that closes, and on Day 5 the deals are signed, witnessed and recorded in the CATALYST Ledger.

That is precisely what gives The Corridor credibility with serious buyers and what makes it worth working towards for suppliers. A floor anyone can pay onto is a floor no buyer trusts. The room is deliberately small and carefully assessed, so that every buyer meets only suppliers who can serve them and every supplier meets only buyers who must buy.

Because Catalyst and The Corridor together carry the reputation of Africa's producers, our sponsors and our development finance partners, every commitment is honoured and every outcome is recorded in the published CATALYST Ledger.

Three routes into the room, and no fourth

No sponsorship, ticket, table or fee anywhere in the open programme buys a place in The Corridor.

1

Apply

Suppliers, self-funding buyers, investors, delegations and accredited deal-service providers apply and are assessed by the Selection Committee.

2

Be invited

A small number of places cannot be applied for at all. They are extended personally, in writing, by BangoPure leadership to named organisations, and confirmed by acceptance rather than by checkout.

3

Be a member

Members of the House of CATALYST are considered first and most seriously each season. Membership makes you eligible. It does not make you admitted.

How admission works

The Corridor runs on a fixed timetable that works backwards from Day 1. The hard application deadline sits six weeks out, the minimum time needed to verify material, prepare batch documentation and build a meeting schedule worth a senior buyer's time.

  • Applications openFor supplier, buyer, investor, delegation and deal-services places.
  • Hosted-buyer approaches beginOne to one, by BangoPure leadership.
  • Invitation-only places extendedTo named organisations, confirmed by written acceptance within 14 days.
  • Hard application deadlineSix weeks before Day 1. No applications accepted after this date.
  • Selection Committee sitsAdmission and decline notices issued in writing within two weeks.
  • Admission confirmedFees are payable only on written admission, within seven days. Unpaid places lapse to the reserve list.
  • Verification and documentationMaterial verified through VERIFY and batch documentation prepared before arrival.
  • Meeting schedules issuedSeven days before Day 1, to every admitted party.
  • The Corridor opensDay 1 of Catalyst week.

What the Selection Committee assesses

The Committee is drawn from BangoPure leadership, Patron institutions and independent practitioners. It sits once per season, does not give reasons, and its decisions are final. A declined applicant may apply again the following season.

Supplier
Verified material or product. Real, consistent capacity at the grades and volumes European buyers need. Documentation readiness, including a Digital Product Passport where applicable. A plausible match with buyers on the floor. A named person with authority to sign.
Buyer
A genuine sourcing obligation, whether regulatory, contractual or a published target. A named senior decision-maker attending in person. Willingness to commit to a minimum number of pre-arranged meetings.
Investor
A mandate that fits circular, recycled-content, carbon or plastic-credit transactions. Capacity to transact. Agreement to the deal room NDA.
Delegation
An official trade, government or municipal mandate. A programme or procurement need that Corridor supply can serve. Named principals.
Deal services
A regulated or accredited service that signatories on the floor will need: verification, trade finance, logistics or legal. A clean conduct record.

Corridor week, day by day

Every category in the room is capped

Caps are set per season and held, so that scarcity is real rather than claimed.

Who is in the room

Each place is assessed and confirmed separately. Nothing here includes the open programme, the Gala, visa handling, hotel, meals or transport.

Supply side

Admitted supplier tables for verified exporters, processors and manufacturers of recycled, recovered or certified-circular materials, with a funded allocation for qualifying African suppliers and a collective table for registered artisan cooperatives. A funded table is indistinguishable on the floor from a paid one. Buyers are never told which is which.

Demand side

The obligated buyer is the scarce asset, so the principal buyer place is fully hosted. Hosted buyers are pre-matched to verified suppliers who can serve their volume and grade, arrive to a schedule of meetings with documentation already prepared, and never queue or browse. Self-funding qualified buyers and buyer teams are admitted by application.

Capital and institutions

A closed Investor Deal Room, capped for the season, with pre-diligenced companies circulated under NDA a week ahead. Government and trade delegations with a coordinated meeting programme and a main-stage slot on Day 4. Accredited deal-services seats for the verification, trade finance, logistics and legal firms a signed agreement needs.

Invitation only

The Founding Buyer Circle: named chief procurement, sustainability or supply chain officers whose obligations shape the room. The Signing Room. The Corridor Convenor's Table. Corridor Funding Partners. Ministerial and Institutional Observer seats. The Ledger Dinner. Returning Signatory places.

The Documentation Desk

Open from Day 1. Batch papers checked, countersigned and ready for the buyer. Digital Product Passport registration support, secure printing, witnessing and overnight storage.

The CATALYST Ledger

Every deal agreed in the room is recorded with the written consent of both parties, independently verified and published. It is the only published transaction figure in the sector, and signatories are acknowledged from the Gala stage.

What we promise, and what we do not

BangoPure verifies, matches, schedules and hosts. We do not guarantee investment, purchase orders, supply agreements or any commercial outcome from any meeting or from admission itself. Where a matched counterparty withdraws, we offer a replacement meeting where one is available. Deals agreed in the room are recorded in the Ledger only with the written consent of both parties.
